生活英文｜【Sit down with you.】是什麼意思呢？

“sit down”是「坐下」的意思，但如果後面又加上「with sb」，整個意思就變成了「和某人討論」，所以sit down with you真正的意思是「和你一起討論」。

這是職場上經常會遇到的表達，如果理解錯誤、表錯情， 有可能會想讓自己切腹自殺。

還有一個類似的表達“sit down and do sth”，意思就是「坐下來討論」。
 

I think we should sit down and talk about this.

我認為我們應該坐下來討論一下這件事。

另外，很多人在說“請坐”的時候都會說“Please sit down.”，

但你知道嗎？其實“Please sit down.”既不禮貌也不常用。“please”雖然有「請」的意思，但如果放在句首，一般會帶有命令的語氣。

那我們經常說的“請坐”，在英語中到底怎樣說才道地呢？

1. Take a seat.

2. Have a seat.
